I'm looking at getting and Aqua fast and light mk2, does anybody know what the coverage is like with slightly bigger bedchairs? I've got a trakker RLX wasn't sure if it would be too tight etc?

This is my mk1 cyprinus with a solar SP TEC bedchair. I'm pretty sure the dimensions are the same but mine doesn't have the space saver frame of the mk2. So less headroom in the middle.
There's enough cover unless it's driving rain in, then I think stuff needs tucking under the bed, or the brolly pulled lower with the extra front storm poles.
Lots more room if you use the wrap

No that's a solar SP-TEC. It's not a compact bed. Standard sized.

In the open fronted picture I've not extended the legs of the bed up, so nothing is tucked underneath which I think makes it look like there's not much cover. Looks a lot more if the ruck sack etc are pushed back. No need last week, it was bloody hot when this was taken.

Yeah I need make better use of whacking more stuff under the bedchair. Do you rate the cyprinus I know there essentially the same as Aquas. Only need it for quick overnighters

Mines been absolutely spot on. Had it for a couple of years, I use it in summer and for winter days and it's been great. I got mine when they used to do eBay auctions. Only paid £75 for it. I've had my money out of it but to be honest it's as good as it was when I bought it. My wraps also cyprinus. Think I paid £79 for that a few months back. My closed season water has tight swims, but obviously weather in March April May can still be iffy so the wraps been very useful. I'm lucky that I can get my gear at trade but in all honesty I'd still buy these again from cyprinus as they are just as good and very good prices.

Wayne how your mk1 cyprinus compares size wise to the now discontinued Wychwood HD MHR 50" compact as I have one and wondering if your wrap would fit ?

Mines the mk1 rapide version so they aren't quite as expensive as the mk2. I think they have the mk1 for £130 at the minute and the wraps for £75. I'm hobbit sized so the space saver frame of the mk2 isn't a priority for me

I can bring my wrap with me next time I'm fishing if you like and you can try it. I'm only fishing up the road from you on copper mill lane, harefield so not much of a drive from Uxbridge.

Thanks nice offer mate I have a North Troy ticket
but got big car troubles at the moment......... whilst fishing a mouse or mice built a nest in my engine compartment and coming down the motorway my engine died and ECU is now stopping the car from going the thinking is mice have chewed true a wire or wires somewhere in the wiring loom and not able to find it yet
so am in no hurry as ~I cant go no where
just praying I dont have to scrap the car

I didn't know you had a Troy ticket, you kept that quiet. I've had my ticket about 16 years I think so our paths might have crossed.
That's a pig about the car, and bad timing, why can't these things happen in the close season?

I am looking for a new brolly and I can pick up the Aqua Fast and Light mk2 for a low price new.
One thing worries me though: there are no fabric protectors around the metal hinges (like you see with other brollies) . Has anyone ever had troubles with this or other things on the Aqua brolly?

You could just cut up an old tea towel if you wanted to do similar
Or green towel of if you want to blend it in so it matches lol

I had a mk 2 fast and light.
The name is misleading, it's no faster than any other brolly. It's not light, in fact it's considerably heavier than most 60 inch brollies. You will have to buy their storm poles separately. The spokes are connected to the centre boss by ferrous metal wire. It's a brolly so gets wet , even drying it in winter won't get rid of moisture and guess what happens to the ferrous metal wire. My lasted 18 months before failing. Warranty is 12 months. You may as well get a Cyprinus one for £100 cheaper and a kilo lighter or better still just get a lo pro which is light and just as fast .
