Could anyone who's use these alarms give me some honest, unbiased feedback, what are they like in comparison to delks?
I don't have them myself as I've got Delks but my mate has and he highly rates them and after seeing them in action I'm very tempted to get a set myself.
Yeah I've got them and I love them. fantastic alarms and receiver. I even parted with my beloved Rx Digitals which originally the intention was to hold onto in case the Nash alarms turned out to be rubbish.
Yes i can vouch for these, they are great. Rocksolid construction and even work underwater. The reciever has massive distance too but not that i recommend being miles away from your rods. you can also program in your mates bite alarms if they are wireless on the spare chaneels so your aware and can help each other out netting fish ect..10/10 from me.

No doubt better than some alarms available... doh...

Got a set a couple of weeks back, done a couple of nights with them and first impressions are good, it was quite windy and no false beeps. Bit fiddly to set up but other than that spot on

Is the thread on the alarm long enough to use a hockey stick to have say dates danglers or do you have to buy the indicator kits that screw in the front?

You can fit hockey sticks on no probs, but you can also get converters to fit any hangers into the thread on the alarm.

After having my TXIs pack up twice on me in heavy rain and having to have them resealed I got rid and bought these Nash alarms and have been VERY impressed with them, I have fished in torrential rain/thunder storms and had no problems at all plus no more false indications with them, also I like the way my indicators fit straight into the alarm, no need for hockey sticks..........

I think I will be happy with these😊 false bleeps on delks r horrendous.. going off just lifting rod up sets the other 2 off even in minus setting!!

I have been looking at these myself and visually I am not to sure about them, not being a tart but they're kind of ugly looking. The one Con I have heard is how fiddly battery installation can be, any reports on this?

I think to find fitting the battery fiddly you'd have to be the sort of person that buys ready tied rigs for the same reason.

Id also like a few more reviews - been a delkim man for years, but after a new set and stuck between these and the TXI's. Nash say the R3s have a 3 year warranty which i like the look of.

The fibre optics indicators are crap lol they don't curve and sit right like you would expect. I've not been for a few weeks but still happy with the alarms, they do everything you want very well the receiver range is much better than delkim. The only thing I would prefer would be a dial for the volume and tone that's seamless rather than like 5 settings but it's only a personal thing and maybe it's because it a more reliable system. However they do everything I want an alarm to do so still happy!

Don't plan on using the optics. With the 'sensing' stuff aside are they sensitive enough? No control over this bothers me a little. Are twitchy bites indicated or just recognised by the alarm as drifting weed? Also a personal thing but how low does the tone go? Despise the high pitched chavvy tones. Thanks.

I have swapped from my Delks this year the the R3's. I really like them they are not perfect but they are pretty good and I don't regret swapping at all. As for your sensitivity question you don't have to worry about missing anything on the highest sensitivity you won't miss a thing! In fact I would like an option to make them less sensitive! I have the original RS1's and really love them but no doubt will upgrade one day, a feature I like with the RS1 is that the receiver only has one tone - high - which is great for me as I wake much quicker to a high tone even at the lowest volume, but want my heads on the lowest tone possible. Is this the same on the RS3?

Been using mine a few months now, really rate them - no issues whatsoever, ridiculously loud (i have mine on lowest setting and mid sensitivity for where im fishing) Ive had very little false indications (weed drift is about it) and it certainly bleeps when theres a chunk on the end! Im glad i made the leap.

If you turn the optic function on and don't use the internal thread on the alarm they beam light down on to the floor.

I made the jump a few weeks ago from Delks, and prior to changing I got feedback from a couple of people I knew who had them and I have to say I can't fault them at all.
Sensitivity is good and I have to say that the volume on both the heads and receiver are bang on, the functionality with the receiver as well is superb, you can change the receiver to vibrate only or vibrate and light up only or have it do the full house of noise, vibrate and light up and not to forget the alarm function as well that is superb, the heads can be muted so that your receiver is only making the noise and the heads also control the tone that you hear from the receiver, which is a neat touch.
You also get a last recall function so you can see which alarm last went off for those who may sleep through the odd liner.
The only downside I have found Is the optics kit, the light pipe is too stiff and doesn't sit properly beneath the rods, in my opinion they should bring out a swinger arm that contains the light pipe to avoid the current problem, however, it is a minor problem and everyone has there own preference to bobbins and swingers anyway.
The one thing I like is the false indication has now decreased, especially just after setting the rods down and your line is settling, on my Delks I would maybe get a few bleeps over a period of maybe 20 minutes whilst the line settled, with the R3 that has disappeared and so has the false bleeps in windy weather, although I'm sure you'd still get the odd bleep if you were to use them in a hurricane.

I switched to these from nevilles as I found the receiver range poor but the r3 range is incredible. also like the fact I can screw my matrix bobbins into them direct without the need for a hockey stick. also built in snag ears, big thumbs up

I've heard nothing but great reviews on these alarms. I always thought, they look cheap and tacky, just shows how wrong you can be.

I have literally used every alarm on the market through the years, from Optonics through to Delkims, the Ace i3, pretty much all Fox alarms, ECU Mk1's, Nevs and so on.
These have to be up there as one of the best. I had the Nash RS1's a few years ago so had no problem getting the R3's. No doubt these are good alarms. What I didn't like was how complicated they were to adjust settings. I has to eat h a YouTube video every time I wanted to alter them. I also still experienced false bleeps in wind and from weed so I'm not convinced the technology is quite there yet.

There are several other alarms I've used which have a different tone for a 'drop back'. The Ace i3 being one from memory...
But you are right the R3's don't have a different sound. Not a feature that particularly bothers me to me honest as I'm always looking at the swingers first anyway.

With the rain issues on the delkim txi alarms I'm tempted to sell my three and reciver and get some r3s they just seem to be more reliable anyone changed over from delkim to the r3s and not regretted it ??.

I sold my TXI's to get R3's in my opinion superior alarms for less money the receiver is more reliable than the Delkim with the addition of a mute button and the heads and the receiver being water proof I'm glad I switched

Changed from ATT's to these for France this year. No false indication from wind or leaves hitting the line. Had to wait till the Thursday before they sprang into life, thought they were broken

I did get some off a guy on eBay, not sure if still available, he made conversion grub screws to your needs, is the Nash M5? Can't remember but had the 2ba for the Cygnet short pivot arms.

Great alarms, the only thing missing for me is drop back differentiation. I've had them since they were released, have seen hundreds of nights never had a single issue. They were a fine replacement for my RX digitals which in my opinion are the best alarm ever released
