That looks right up my street. Shame about the 2 year wait. Do you know how much it is?

Laddingford on the ODAA ticket. Currently a two year wait, however it's probably one of the prettiest ponds I've fished. A few twenties knocking about, but not loads. Out of 50 or so captures in two years I had one of 22lb, and a couple of others that could have been twenties if i'd bothered weighing them. Does bites day and night, good stalking water, no silly rules.

I know some of the syndicates cost a fortune and I sort of get the cost considering the fish that are being targeted.

I'm not looking for anything over mid twenties and don't do any overnighters.

I'd be happy to pay £20 day ticket for a decent location but I probably only fish 10-12 times a year so unless the one location or club met everything Im looking for I'd rather have the choice in going to different locations I think.

Yes really. I bet most people on here pay more than that for a ticket . Some cost thousands!

Really?

That's roughly the cost of 10 day tickets that I can choose pretty much anywhere.

If I can find the perfect combination of beautiful location, fish to mid twenties and not too difficult to fish I'd probably pay it though tbh.

I took a look at Priory Farm lakes near Redhill. One of the lakes there was stunning but I don't think the carp go past 20lb and the membership was really expensive.

I'll take a look at those links.

I fished at Marsh Farm a few years ago just for the crucians but it didn't meet my aesthetically (visually shallow) requirements.

I’ve fished Busbridge for years. It’s not low stock but it is quite hard. There is a footpath running along one side of the lake. It is fenced off and not very easy to see but you could park on Quartermile road, walk down the footpath, turn right and then you can see the lake and get a sense of what it is like.
The lake is called “lower lake” on Google maps https://maps.app.goo.gl/dquCqHNHHpXwB3ML8?g_st=ic
Also drop in at Apollo Angling at Marsh Farm and they will give you information on Godalming waters

I haven’t fished the Farnham waters but members of the public can walk around one of them and see the other one so you can have a look without being a member. Park here https://maps.app.goo.gl/3Ymnf5BwqyFtZGor8?g_st=ic

That looks nice, have you fished it?
Are you local to there, have you fished Shillinglee?

I'm quite shallow when I fish and much prefer fishing a lake that is ascetically pleasing.

For me lillie pads, reed beds etc make a location rather than just fishing open water or to a bland island.

So far, I seem to be able to find an ascetically pleasing location (Shillinglee in Surrey, or Coombe Bank in Kent) that are quite hard to fish and I always blank, or somewhere that is quite bland where fishing is much more productive.

So I'm looking for what for me is the perfect lake some where that looks good (in my eyes) but also produces.

Any ideas?
