Cheers gents I bought it off a chap in dartford called Leigh in 2020 but I’ve only used it for sonar etc until now, he customised it with a waterproof box and a regulator for battery to always show 12v even if the battery loses some life. Think it must be an older one, I’ll try the phone route for now. Luckily I’m not fishing too far out.

Try navionics app and use it on your phone sign up for an trial account and get it free for about a week I think
You can add waypoints routes trails etc on that
It might get you out of the cack whilst on the bank
It may even possibly have the lake area you are fishing on the app.
On My plotter I have to add a SIM card to make the gps part work.
It has c maps and navionics on the card
C maps is the lowrance version of navionics but they all seem interchangeable
Navionics is Garmin

That's weird. How old is your unit? Maybe it shipped with a dodgy firmware version.

Might be worth giving them a call

I’m convinced it hasn’t got it, currently On the bank at lac du der, I’ve pressed the back button etc and every other button and all that comes up is sonar, down vision and sonar/down vision split screen.

You press the ‘Back’ button to bring up the view options. You can then select to view the GPS and Chartplotter alongside the sonar.

Manual can be found here….

As far as I remember, you just went through the different screen options and the GPS option popped up. I do think its possible to pre-set different modes and splitscreens (e.g. sonar/GPS splitscreen). Could it be you need to do that first, before you see GPS? Just thinking out loud.

Any idea how the GPS works on the dragonfly 5, I can’t see an option for it, just sonar and downview?

Can anyone recommend a GPS for a rowing boat… I have a Raymarine Dragonfly 5 so don’t really wanna spend bundles on buying another combined echo/GPS. Have a couple of trips to huge public waters with a lot of open water so locating the same spot will be imperative.
Thanks in advance
