I've been mighty impressed with them. They are bigger, thicker and heavier (in the large size)
Obviously I can only compare them to the regular store bought ones, but they seem noticeably better to me at least, in terms of performance.

I'd rather have it built into the boat no messing about at all then 
Agree with that, I don't like the bulk either, could always re-package it into whatever you want, doesn't have to be that big. Not everyone will want to pay for the Deeper RE espesh if not used very often, for £50

I watched the demo video on YouTube for this last night!
I wasn't impressed (other than the price, initially)
The setup takes too long. Too bulky. If it works with multiple different Chirp/Deeper/Fishfinder devices it might be a useful tool.
I'd rather pay double the money and get the nice neat Deeper Extender. Battery built in, recharge off USB quickly. I've fished out to 250yards with mine and had perfect signal.
