Thank you.
I lost two, two weeks before too.
The first carp I lost to a hook pull, after a long protracted battle out in the boat. The following morning I lost a second in the pouring rain, when a 30lb fluorocarbon boom section was cut like cotton by zebra mussels in the weed. Both were very very large carp. I have a nasty feeling one of them was the 60+ mirror, as it had been guarding the spot before I lost the first fish. It only done four bites all of last year to the whole syndicate... So I was ready to top myself losing two!
The following week was even worse for me! I watched a fish show on me (anglers go ten years on there without seeing a carp show), but two nights running just before dark sailing boats trailing ropes wiped out all three rods. I was camping for two nights with no rods in the water at bite time when there were big carp on the munch.
I went home after that trip completely beaten. I really thought the chance would be gone.
