I know Povetkin is knocking on a touch but didn’t he have covid in January as that could explain ‘other than age’ a lacklustre performance. Still, no doubt a nice payday.

In reply to Post #1675 young hatton wont be climbing too far up the ladder
Thought the same myself Jeff, a lot of nervous energy but has a very LOT to learn!
Quite emotional for his dad though I guess, wish him all the best and hope he does not get hurt

In reply to Post #1674 Poor from povetkin , he looked wrong from the moment he entered the ring , like he,d been out all night , strange, was hoping shea s lad would win, that was probably his last fight, young hatton wont be climbing too far up the ladder , and as for that other heavyweight farce the least said the better.

Well, Whyte got the win. When he started throwing those big overhand looping rights it thought, oh no, bit reckless that. Corner put him straight and the punch that did the damage was a short straight right! Proves he has the power. Think he will have learned a lot from that myself?
As for his next opponent, Calling Wilder out
That is an extremely dangerous fight for me. Can’t see him getting much from that if it happens other than KOd and a decent payout $
Better off looking for an easy fight and then hope that he gets a crack at the winner of Tyson vs. Joshua. I would like to see him fight Joshua again, rocked him last time and gave him a lot of trouble

In reply to Post #1672 Agree there mate. Wardley, not convinced at all. Those low hands and aggressive style are not a good sign for me. Easy to hit. I like his shape but he has to get a stone off if he is serious and I question how he would fit in against a true heavyweight who can box
Cheeseman is a great watch, athlete who wears his heart on his sleeve, up for a war every time I have seen him. Warrior

In reply to Post #1671 Agreed. Cheeseman vs Metcalf was 10/10 and I can't see Whyte vs Povetkin being better than that.
The less said about Wardley vs Molina the better.

Cheeseman vs. Metcalf next fight fans, could be fight of the night. Cheeseman will give it his all
Edit - What a fight! don’t get much better than that, war, Cheeseman

In reply to Post #1669 Watched a program on Sky about him the other day, got some good boxers behind him there with his Dad and uncle Mathew. Massive ask of him though to be as good as his dad though. Can see a Tszyu revisited on the horizon pending weights
Let’s hope we have another British world champion in the making
Think I’m going to watch the DW fight tonight. Two careers on the line here for me.Somebody is going to get KOd, let’s hope nobody gets seriously hurt
Big UFC fight tonight too, both men can strike

Ricky hattons son makes his debut on sat night .

|

Dillian Whyte for me, CANNOT lose this one otherwise it could be career over
Very dangerous fight, no lapses this time, has to take Povetkin out, rocked him a few times in their previous fight, has to be all over him when he hurts him again and make it count, get it wrong and he will be KOd again, no doubt

In reply to Post #1666 Hope you ok Gerry.
Povetkin does him again for me.For whyte to win he needs to get on him from the bell and hurt him .In the back of his mind whyte knows this bloke can take him out and i think he will again.
