The way I saw it was that Nathan started brightly and was hurting his opponent with those body shots so much to the extent that he spat out his dummy to get a breather. I felt this annoyed Nathan so much that he didn’t gather his concentration quickly enough and got tagged. Felt that Nathan was off balance and it was this more than the power in the shot that put him on the canvas.

I couldn’t scream any louder from the back of the arena ‘though I was close enough’ to make my voice heard so quickly went down to the front to offer my support. Kept shouting to keep your distance and discipline Nathan, in and out and not stand in front of him. After round 7 I felt Nathan was in front and needed to keep to what he was doing and the victory would be his. Shouted in round 8 that you’re boxing well Nathan and to keep the discipline and that it would be yours as the fitness he has is amazing and is deserving of good things that may come his way.

All in all I thought he kept his concentration well and didn’t get embroiled in a scrap after he had visited the canvas as that would have being both the easiest but wrong thing to do.

Got a fantastic coach in Steve Woodvine who Nathan adores and thinks so highly of him.

Thankfully all boxers went home safe and sound and I’m so proud of Nathan. I even got asked during my non stop support if I was his dad as I was shouting every second.

Well done Nathan and onto the next chapter in your career.

All the best mate you deserve nothing but good things from the sport.

Well, bit inconclusive that performance from Benn, the other lad wasn’t at the races.

He needs to be careful if he starts calling big names out for me. Brona would be a good shout for me. He needs to up his game and the quality of the opponent he is fighting now too for me

Sorry mate but only just seen your post.

On next on BT Sports as he’s on the card of Jason Cunningham.

Just hope Nathan can claim another victory and continue to progress.

Above all else hope all boxers go home safe and that there’s no trouble from those following him as it’s been pretty rowdy already with a fight going on outside the ring but not from his followers thankfully.

Just hope the night passes too with no trouble.

Come on Nathan - pleeeeeeease.

Edit - Strangely enough Serge Ambomo was on the card earlier and ended with a draw.

Nathan like when he fought Ambomo has got to stay switched on against his opponent Ramiirez.

Well if you have Olympic gold medals and loads of world titles you got to be able to box and much as I rate Marshal she would need to really hurt her early to get the stoppage or I fear she will get out boxed but really looking forward to it

also I would not dismiss an upset with Dillian Whyte a man thats got nothing to lose in the match of his life

I just hope Marshall rocks her early and takes her confidence.Shields is without doubt the better boxer but I can't see her hurting Marshall,if Shields gets hit with Marshalls power it will probably be good night

Agree

Shields is a superb boxer, one of the best woman I have seen, got the lot except power for me, not convinced on that. SM better get that jab on point and the timing spot on because that’s the only thing that is going to get her through this for me, keeping Shields on the end of it and landing the big shots is the key, otherwise Shields wins for me, she has fantastic movement and a great skills set
