As a kid we used to strap rods, net and 45" umbrella to our cross bar. All our gear/bait/food went in a 60 or 70lt rucksack and we would sandwich a £10 sunlounger between our back and the rucksack. Bloody hard work but needs must

Very good just a couple of bits does the nano fit the ruckbag good is it the compact or big one and it looks like a shelter on rod bag which shelter is it

Not a shelter, its the fox safety sling.
If I take a shelter its the classic Fox Evo from back in the day
And that is bungeed to the crossbar.

I've seen a guy who made a little trailer up for his bike from one of those little kiddy buggy things that you see people towing about sometimes, few little mods and he had his kit on that with his bike with just him peddling, looked very good

i got one a couple of months back. about 65 quid IIRC.
but only use it when
the missus wants to come to the lake as she requires a bedchair and shelter lol

I think it's great idea but I would cut it down even more leave sling out get a fold up weigh sling £10 ad that wraps up goes in bag leave bucket out put bait in bag

whilst i agree with what your saying. the weigh sling and bucket are extremely lightweight
and there is a space for the sling on the rodbag.
both are very convenient to use. so its a trade off. i also take full reubens and a stainless Tbar
which weighs more than sling , bucket, and a days bait. if i ever need to cut weight it will be those.
oh yeh. the bucket goes on the handlebars. but its like a 6 or 7 minute ride. if i was going further and decided to cycle
i might do waht you suggest with the bucket and bait at least.

You got the moving fishing camp, hell you got my heart with this picture. The whole idea about a bicycle fishing camp is awesome. Do you have some problems driving through the hills? Or you got the bicycle with an electric motor? Also, I would recommend getting proper cyclist insurance from a good insurance company like this one https://sundaysinsurance.co.uk/cyclist-insurance, because the risk of an accident with this huge hindcarriege is increased by a lot.

Mine would involve ,a M6l Brompton,42 teeth converted,using the front carrier system I'd put a Banshee 200,plus all the bushcraft stuff in that bag,on my back a triple zoom tenkara ,and a fladen 6ft all-rounder,...
I haven't done it yet ..maybe next year..
