Fair play for keeping a lid on things. We'll know soon enough.

Fish whenever you like, I found the average stamp of fish to be around mid twenty, but they are all lookers.

Linear is an amazing venue, there's no getting away from it. The only problem is that it's sooo busy - in fact on the occasions I've been I've had very little choice in swim, that being said I've almost always managed to have a good session landing fish time. I think possibly smiths pool would be a good spot to introduce someone new to carp fishing, as it takes big casting out of the equation and has great potential closer in the margins. The fish are stunners also!

Never met Iain but I've only ever heard nice things about him. I feel really sad and hope he can find some comfort in knowing how massively liked and respected he is from the angling community.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Not only a brilliant angler but a fantastic role model.

Years ago, in the pre- digital age I used to use an SLR, but learnt the hard way not to rely on my fellow anglers being able to take an even half decent photo. Imagine the deflation when I collected my pics from boots to find every photo of me holding my first double had me cropped off at the head! At least nowadays photos can be viewed on the spot and rather than being limited to a roll of either 24 or 36 shots with the mystery of wondering if they be any good.
