When I make booms I always make sure I'm using the right size crimp for the diamiter of line and always stress test after, not all line is suitable for crimping I read somewhere

I had a look at the colt holdall( thanks for the link) and width wise at the reel it seems almost as wide as the r9 coffin so just ordered one though AD as they have an offer on them I always use a barrow so not a problem

I also picked up 3 9ft scopes for £210 in the n/y sales used them today and very pleased with them , more than I can say about the scope holdall which is stupidly tight and fiddly to get the rods back in on the bank, I know a lot of people think the r9 transporter is like a coffin case but think I may get one

I have never used a helicopter rig before only a lead clip and hook length, I have been doing research on naked rigs and also the Korda heli safe clip but don't want to be loosing leads everytime I snag in weed, so my question is how safe is a heli rig with a fixed lead

The reels I have are Diawa emcast BR4500 A hence the reason for going with a Diawa spod reel

My stepped up 9ft rod arrived today and I was going to use it as a spod/marker, I have a Diawa 20 cross cast 5000 qd big pit spod reel but when fitted it looks to big for the rod and is a tight squeeze when trying to put it in the scope3 rod holdall
Idea's please on what smaller reel would do the job
Thanks

Just after Christmas I was looking for scope rods and came across Total Fishing Tackle who have them pre order for 50% off and a further 15% so brought 3 9ft cork for £210 that's cheaper than buying the dwarf , I just had an email saying delivery this Tuesday
Bargain

With someone but don't normally talk to them but on hand for photo or double take is always handy, I do get a guilt trip though if I'm catching and he's not
