Just about to load my spod/marker reel up with Ridgemonkey transmit braid but not sure which would be the best shockleader material to use
Most things I've read say something like Armacord for braid, but a guy in a local tackle shop said braid to braid can sometimes crack off and recommended a nylon tapered leader
What would you use?

Never have issues with braid on braid. And I've spent most of this year at 130-160 range and haven't had one crack off with a large spomb.
30 or 50lb armakord is pretty much bulletproof

40lb Greased Weasel or Amnesia to braid for me.
I have a nice collection of retrieved marker floats, spods and Spombs attached to a short length of braided line...

I use Diawa j braid in 20lb and a 50lb armacord leader of around 3 rod lengths, I'm fishing up to around 100yards 110max and not had any problems
