I shouldn't comment and I won't except (LOL), listen to the tipsters and you will lose!!!
Perhaps the horse was carrying too much money in bets and the bookies paid the trainer to stop him running (been done before), no idea why he didn't start, sure Mark will provide an explanation? Stick to making baits m8, bet responsibly and don't encourage others to lose their money! No idea why you started the topic about gambling, but as a reformed gambler this subject is not posted in the spirit of a carp forum!

Couldn't agree more david. As a life long gambling addict I really struggle with temptation and really don't want to see it within angling posts as you said it's a mugs game. All this talk of guaranteed winners is a load of cobblers. You may have a winner today and everyone cheers, but no mention of the thousands lost along the way. I'm glad there's a separate post for the gambler but please keep it away from the angling.

What a load of *****. I agree it can become a problem for some. But for people like me I strong willed. I don't drink I don't smoke don't do drugs. So if mark or anyone else wants to give me a tip then he's more than welcome to. You don't have to open up this thread.

Have always liked a bet , dont drink dont smoke and know when to stop , i dont gamble everyday ,won £452 this week over 2 days for £18 outlay,dont win that everyweek but its nice when you do, if you have an addictive nature you will become addicted so dont bet.

I used to take peoples houses, like yours. My record for 30 mins on a roulette table, is £1.9 million off of one man. I watched folks lose everything, their homes, their relationships... The lot.

Fair point fella. Sometimes my own issues get in the way perhaps. Each to they're own for sure, a great thread here for those interested in having a bit of a flutter i was more commenting on posts within bait threads. Being around gamblers for too long has taught me that most are bull****ters too..

Mark I will willingly bow out of this thread, but please do not try and tell me anything about gambling or imply that you have superior knowledge about how to beat the system, former croupier or not, my son was also involved in the industry and he thought he was also that clever, bankrupt twice now, expect you will jump on that comment! We do have a few mutual friends from fishing, associated with the Tackle Box, I will pass on this thread now, except to say I won 4.5k on Tiger today on a sport which is not corrupted like many others, though I can't understand why Molinari fcuked u on 12 and 15, hitting balls into the water when I could have collected 6.5k?
