Makes sense, renewable energy up this year the more we make the more tax they pay.

Good thing we didn't challenge the energy giants on fossil fuels windfall tax that labour went on and on about.

I remember playing jet set wily on my zx spectrum back in the day, he crashed and burned out decades ago.
So the jet suit had a flying time of 10 minutes only on 5 gallons of fuel
And they are so quiet not, about 160 decibels—enough to rupture an eardrum
Loving its green credentials....
I like this guy who knocked this up in the shed beside his paddy field.

No problem it's all a bit Lyle Lanley if you ask me...
I really can see the VCs queuing up....

So glad you don't see West coast VC's getting involved

I'm open minded but I can't see it helping, that's why I'm asking you.

So really you're closed minded. Fair enough and no surprise there.

No I can't see how jet suits are going to help the environment.
I've asked but you won't explain.
Rather than crack on I'll ask the rest of you. Can someone explain please.

So I did a bit of reading they are trying to move away from fossil fuel, to battery only as will be cooler and quieter and easier to control
So two challenges.
The prototype fans uses BLDC motors which are not powerful enough, about 1/8th the power of the fossil fueled suit.
There is work on super conductor technology for electric flight which is being developed which will be more efficient and run cooler - though technology is in prototype phase so we are looking at many years of work.
The other and the biggy the battery technology - a 3KW battery is all that can be used due to voltage sag meaning about a minute flight time.
God help if it's cold outside as well !
So we are all hopeful of more efficient battery technology being developed....same old
Maybe they need to move to hydrogen fuel cell ?
Hopefully they won't run out of cash as I only found one investor Adam Draper.
But I don't get where for example every emergency service is going to find £400k for a suit that they might need??
Don't think I'll be investing...

If he answers now the next question will be why did it take so long?
Thanks for doing a bit of research. So it seems most people would not know about the technology you describe, it's not just me.
I have heard about voltage sag though, that's something we avoided in the older lead acid technology I used to work on. Conductance, N+1 and all that.
