Bushwhacker aftercare
Having had my bushwhacker for a few years now, I consider cleanliness to be paramount to preventing sections sticking…it can take only a few bits of grit or grime to lock two sections together and cause untold frustration.
Two things I do…
Never put sections on the ground. I tend to put it together in sets of three sections and then store them across my empty barrow. I can then move it out of the way to the side of the swim and, when I want to use it, wheel it to a suitable location and pay it out, putting the x3 sections together until I have shipped out to the desired spot.
CLEAN each section regularly…I have a fluffy radiator cleaner (purchased from Robert Dyas) that is ideal for going up inside, a quick twist and pull it out.
I also have microfibre dusting gloves (in green, obvs, I wouldn’t want to look silly!) that I use for the other end of each pole. Brush and gloves will fit in the bushwhacker holdall.

I hope someone finds this useful 😎
