Straight Ronnie has always been my go to
I just play around with bait mounting and or presentation.

Thinking of trying the Slip-D rig
Any pointers on making up and which hooks would be recomended

Don't make it with fine braid or a small ring, size 6 or 4 wide gape, or curve hook is what I use. It was originally designed to be used with big or double bottom baits. Don't go too far away from that.
