I've seen these mentioned on a few threads from some years back, and wondered if any users/owners would kindly share their thoughts and experiences as to their reliability, longevity and/or anything else of note, good or bad?
I would also appreciate any thoughts on alternative alarms in a similar price range, which take a receiver.

Dunno about the Bats, but have a look at the Sonik SKS2 alarms, they're cracking, especially for what they cost. All the features you could ever want or need and sub £200 for a 4+1+1 set. The 3 rod sets are even cheaper! Oh, and everything in the set takes AAA batteries.

I need a 2+1 in reality, and would probably be looking at sub £100. Cheers.

I used to have a set for when I fished local park lakes and they never let me down. Think I only paid something like £15 per head so they were fantastic value for money

Still use two of them for day sessions on small lakes. They are perfectly usable. I just prefer my other alarms for most of my fishing.

I have some sks2 alarms with bivvy light i dont use. 100 plus postage if you want them mate. Just sitting in my shed.

I have a set of these. Have nothing to fault about them personally, but I just want a beep when my line is pulled. Solid battery life. 9v battery on receiver and 2AAA in each alarm. Can adjust sensitivity and volume. You cant change the tone thoigh, which doesn't bother me. If ive got a run, a monotone alarm is all I need.

No worries. I wouldn't say I've used extensively but they've been out in all weathers a few times a year over the last 2 - 3 years. So wouldn't say they've been hammered. Battery life is better than I expected. Theres a low battery warning indicator but ive not actually heard what that sounds like yet. A fresh set of batteries will do a week no problem id say. But then I change them every say 5 - 6 24 hour session worth or so and always carry spares.
