I know there are umpteen power barrow threads in the site but I'm looking at the Carp Porter Roamer Power Barrow.
Has anyone on the site purchased one and how have you found it. Looks like you have to buy the battery separately (not sure if that is correct). At £1150 a pop, you would think it would be part of the deal.
Before I part with the cash, just after an honest review from someone that has put the barrow through its paces.

Had one for a few years. Would buy another if needed. Tyres was my problem cheap ones that came with it just split and then popped the inner tube on the back ones
Other than that look after the batteries take them indoors in winter. Brilliant
Got mine on Angling Direct finance. Put 500 down then 13 a month.

Save yourself £200 and get the basic unpowered Korda Roamer barrow and then buy the ukbarrowconversions.com powered wheel kits on it which are £625 posted it's all plug and play to fit the kit the motor is built into the wheel and on their kit it comes complete with everything you need and comes with a better battery a lithium lifepo4 battery . The Korda power barrows come with heavier sealed lead acid batteries

The DIY cheap power kits have the aliexpress power wheels that have almost no torque at all but if you get these it's your choice.
Yes, The carp porter kit is expensive but it has value in that your getting better kit for your money.
Pays your money and make your choice, personally I'd say pay a little more and get better quality that'll last longer, it's not a lot more.

Out of interest, can I ask if you've tested them to come to that conclusion, real world or bench? Been thinking of doing my barrow hence the Q
I can't find any torque stats, the CP one says Extra Torque, 30:1, are we to assume that's 30Nm? An Ali express one says 30-40Nm, are we to assume that's a :1 ratio? I know there are some mechanics & engineers on the forum, hopefully someone knows.

I bought a Nash Power barrow when first released and it was absolutely gutless, i ended up sending it back but it could have had a problem.
I ended up buying a standard Nash Trax Evo and then got a conversion kit from Barrowconversions uk (luckily before they started ripping people off left, right and central.
The conversion which I'm sure is just a tarted up Ali express kit is night and day over what the factory barrow was

i read that as for every 30 turns of the motor the output shaft from gearbox turns 1 turn
Your 30Nm i read as being output torque at a specific speed
With regards to the barrow conversion type wheels i have a wheel "l faster"that i think is like the ones off aliexpress and i also have a wheel from a global angling conversion which from a appearance looks like it has metal spokes if i put them both on the same controller the global one turns around 40% faster than the l faster wheel on all 3 speeds
In a motor thats controlled by a controller allsorts of variables and motor characteristics curve can be configured

Thanks for the replies guys, apologies I only just found them. I've been looking at the BarrowPro ones but can't decide if I'd use it enough to justify it, though it's very tempting should I join a syndi and need it, that saying, better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it
