Which would be the better choice of rod/ the better rod, the Daiwa Baisair X45X 12 ft/3.25lb or the Century Stealth Graphex 12ft/3.25lb?

I won a set of x45x in 3.75lb and tbh expected them to be like broom handles but i've been surprised how good they feel playing fish, First time using them I had a few from low to high 20's and I was really surprised how much bend they had, Also cast really well, I rate them highly apart from being a cork handle man, I plan to have the handles replaced to cork

Which reel seat and rings do you want?
I've got the century's although in a different T/C, but had looked at the Daiwas in the new x45x "F" basia version, which is non Alps and different ringing. I note that the Basiairs have fallen in price £100 or so, since I was in the market.
Can't really offer a direct comparison, but the centurys are lovely (as you'd expect) First time out 30+ wraps without even trying, and then a 20lb fish at under 10.

Never owned basia x45 carp rods but had the barbel rods and the blank is superb but daiwa all ruin their rods with cheap rings and reel seats. I used the previous century graphene carp rods but not in 3.25 and they are the best carp rods ive ever owned and i had stacks.

I'm in the same quandary I'm a bit old school and like the abbreviated handle on the stealth graphex but the Diawa's are slightly cheaper.

I went for the abbreviated handle century, primarily because I like abbreviated rods and also because I didn't wants an Alps waveform style reel seat.
More than happy with my choice, they are lighter too.

The polar opposite to my 2.5 graphenes. The graphex and graphenes are more or less an identical blank with different fittings so there may be some good bargains on the previous graphenes now they are discontinued.

Yes... Purely distance tools. As I like 10ft-ers for smaller waters.
