Want to change to a braided mainline. What's peoples opinions on the korda sub braid or the thinking anglers 40lb sbx? Thanks

I've used both and prefer the TA. It ages better than the Korda which loses colour and roughens up. When it goes rough I found it picks up any algae or detritus and can float up.

I'm by no means an expert on braid but I have happened to use sbx in 25lb and also sub braid and I think sub braid performs better tbh. But the 40lb may well be better than the 25lb I've no idea.
I used SBX 40lb for a while. As I'm sure as others will say, it sinks like a stone and is super-strong. I just couldn't consistently get it above about 24 wraps, so switched to Avid camo braid in 30lb and much prefer it tbh.
Used both Power Pro & SBX.
SBX is like tow rope in comparison to Power Pro, and I don't mean this entirely in a bad way, like it landed my biggest ever fish for me amongst tree lined snags. When using it it just gives that impression that nothing will break it. Power Pro, is much the better for casting at distances and again, has never let me down on the fish front either.
When going to France I have 1 spool still loaded with SBX & the other two with Power Pro, I'll always stick a rod in margins which are snaggy pretty much round the whole lake and that's where the rod/reel spooled with SBX goes.
No experience using the Korda stuff, so can't comment on that.

I've got the sub braid on 4 of my spools. Up til now, I can't fault it but it is only on my reels for the last 10 sessions (1y of fishing in my case 🫣

I've used 20lb sub braid. Like it a lot. Casts very well and sinks pretty well too. I'm happy with it. If I was on a snaggy, shorter distance lake I'd definitely look at the SBX in 40lb but not needed currently.

If you go with the TA braid I would suggest the 25lb version, the 40lb version could raise the Titanic!! Other good option is the Avid braid.

Yes I have heard good things about the avid braid also.
I've definitely found the TA better at keeping its colour over time.
