Anyone know of an alternative holdall for the jag rp2.
Jag one is over priced rubbish. One pocket for the full pod and that's all. No second pocket for remote or small accessories.
Would be nice to have slots for extra sticks.

The bas (bespoke anglig supplies) one is superb but expensive but worth it in my opinion. He has two on ebay item number 127019524327. Its miles better than the jag one and has a pocket on the front for receiver and indicators etc.

Just about to order a BAS version (for an RP1). . .£85 but fully padded and with a front zipped pocket - choice of Khaki Green or DPM. Can also be made to your spec (higher/wider/internal sleeves/external pockets) etc.

They are superb. Only thing i did was add a bit of plastic in the bottom as was concerned points might pierce the material. Ive sold my rp pod now though so sold the bag on here. Ive went back to my jag super compact pod which i prefer over the rp pod.

I was thinking that - I always carry 2x Jag Excavators and have recently had to have a barbel rucksack re-stitched due to augured points (Fox Powerpoints in this instance) piercing the exterior fabric accidently. Wish they'd make rubber 'condoms' or similar to cover the points in transit . . .
Without showing off (and having only recently bought an RP1, as yet untested!) I'm now the owner of the holy trinity - Super Compact Adjustable / Micro with 2+1s / RP1
The reason for RP1 purchase was speed vs the faff with the Micro (although I do weirdly like it and it is versatile for different reasons) . . .why have you ditched RP1?

I'd second BAS - cracking bag, easy ordering (FB messenger in my case), good comms and really quick turn around.

Just love how compact it is and i can also keep alarms on bars if i want to use banksticks or stage bites. The main reason though was i could never get my tips level using rp1 and it played havoc with my ocd. Ive had two rp1's but keep selling them and going back to super compact.
I just cut a bit of upvc window sill up i had in the garage and put it in the bottom of the bag and works a treat.
Tip for excavator sticks, i used to wrap a free spirit neoprene rod wraps around the tips fold it over point then wrap around fold.

I was ecmxactly the same with the rp1, could never get everything spot on level, I had the super compact,the nano/micro pod then the jag rp1,im now back on the nano micro pod as it just does everything I need..
the rp1 was great but just couldn't get everything spot on amd the splay on the rods was quite extreme...not had chance to look at a rp-2 as that has more adjustment but tbh im on buzz bars and sticks at the minute so in no rush to look at the rp-2 yet. I do love all things jag

I would imagine the splay will be even wider on rp2.
I wish they would make the micro pod in 316 stainless as dont like the black.

Your worrying me now as I have 'rods level' OCD ! Just paid full price on the RP1 but not used in anger yet - mainly going to be used on stagings / level ground so hopefully will be ok. Only using with 10' set up / 25QDs so fit should be good but more worried about lack of splay rather than too much (wish front arms were extendable) . . .Micro and Compact accommodate this with adjustable buzz bars. . . .(I like super wide at front / narrow at rear)
Hate parallel set ups - perspective makes it look like tips are facing inwards rather than out!

Nice pics! Looks alright to me (I will be using smaller rods/reels) . . .
Only thing I don't like about Nano is buzz bar twist - even when nipped up tight and with a stabilizer at the front it can suffer on a harsh take (especially with tight clutches) - but do like 2+1 concept!
