Bit of a stupid question but I'll ask it anyway, what's the point of a bib n brace...ie benefits?

in winter its primarily warmth and dryness, very few carpers wear bib n brace in summer but alot of matchmen still do,that mainly due to the mess of fish slime, groundbait etc. the summer ones the matchmen wear are unlined.

If you bend over to do something and your upper clothes ride up, your skin gets exposed to the elements and you lose a lot of heat. A bib and brace keeps everything in check and prevents it from happening. You are also benefiting from a double layer of thick insulation from the waist to the chest if you are wearing a winter suit.

Any recommendations for unlined bib and braces then?

I like layering stuff up and want a pair that I can put a pair of insulated trousers under.

I have a great pair but they are camo.. looking for a plain green pair..

Had the Korum ones for a few years now and still in good nick. Not sure they are made anymore tho.

I bought a pair last winter but going for a piss and especially a number 2 was such a pain i ditched them and went back to thermal trousers.
