hi all had my Ultegra 5500 CI4+ XTC bout 2 year been great last week went fishing clutch started sticking orderd some ice washers to fit problem i got washers came out ci4 reels double the thickness ice washers screw the cap back on reel it goes too deep into the spool full lock is poor as well any help would be much appreciated

Which ICE washers did you buy and from where?

I have ICE washers in my Ci4+ XTCs without issue.

Hi, have your reels got QD Spool Caps ? ie solid inside, rather than having springs inside them.
Ice Washers are thin, but normally QD spool cap goes in spool more, but still locks spool up fully. Might not fully lock up with caps with springs in them, certainly lot less QD.
Solid rather than springs, does more to making a spool QD, than any washers.

ps looks like orig you had PTFE or Nylon washers in spools ?
Do make more QD than Felt, but not as much as Carbon washers.

i think nylon washers ci4 have qd spool cap one with out spring as for ice washers spool cap goes too deep into the spool i dont like it full lock is poor
