I think I maybe read something on this forum somewhere that a 13ft Aviator Spod is difficult to use at short distance. Doesn't sound right to me but I thought I should ask before I commit to one.

Its a 13ft, pretty stiff spod rod. You're basically swinging as opposed to casting a spomb out at short range.

Mega rod for anything else though

I wouldn't call it difficult, no moreso than any other spod rod at short range.

Agree. Any spod is a bit clumsy at v short distance. The Aviator is as user friendly as any spod I've used.
