I'd like to give my Steve Neville MK2 an MOT, well new batteries.
Is it a simple task or is there an element of still with replacing gaskets, glue etc.
I've never replaced them in the years I've had them 👍
Any input & advice is appreciated

Hi there,
I no longer own mine but when I did I scraped and cleaned both faces to remove the old glue and used a blue gasket sealant to re-seal.
Spot on
No leaks

just a bit of hylomar blue round the edge again, dont over tighten the screws

I've had different versions of Nevs for probably 25 years so done lots of battery changes and I've never bothered replacing the blue gunk

Never had any water issues either so I wouldn't be too worried about it, like the other poster said, just don't over tighten and crack the cases/backs.
