As a kid i soon embraced the practicality of telescopic rods driving around on my bike. My father brought me to moritz in germany because they had telescopic carp rods.

But well, after a couple broke at the top i had to concede that they suffered from a weak spot and i couldn't go on buying new ones or replacing the tip.

But now i see them making a little come back with daiwa and fox and who knows who else offering them. And i need a bit of space in the car for holidays, so i am kinda tempted.

Anyone having any experience with telescopic carp rods these days? Up to the job now, or still a flawed tip when landing fish?

Not sure about telescopic but I have the 9ft original extractors that go down pretty small and they're spot on tbh, would fit in a boot easily and great for small swims with overhanging trees ect.

Certainly an option too, but looking at the daiwa crosscast telescopic, it has a transportation length of 95 cm and i can tuck that away behind the rear seats, while those extraction rods will have to go diagonally. Idk yet, but just wondering if they still break left and right or that people say they aren't really bad and no problem with breaking,

10 foot Nash Scopes? Bit on the expensive side but pack down well and fit crossways in my car, behind the front seats. No problems with the performance with them as well.
