Off the continent and it's been recommended to use braid as mainline .
I have Daiwa infinities and asking for recommendations please .
Will only be using for the week.

Gardner noir is fantastic, they do a casting one now also

Have been using the avid outline braid and found it really good. Not had to do any long casts though so can't vouch for that.

it's a bit of a how long is a piece of string braid question.

if you're only going for a week, how much are you looking to spend?

how far are out you going to be fishing & will there be other boats on the water?

if you're fishing big distances then you will want something thin - if there are other boats / water users then you will most likely need something that sinks.

It's only 7 acres and three of us on the lake .
A boat each a few snags and not too much weed that time of year .
Not being tight just hoping not to spend a fortune for just one weeks fishing .

I questioned did we need braid and yes was the recommendation from the owners.

I'm currently using Korda subbraid and very pleased with it performance

If it's just for the holiday get some cheap stuff off of flea bay, would recommend Hercules braid, doesn't sink wonderfully but tough as anything......and cheap!

agreed - if it's just for a week, no massive distances & there's minimal danger of others wiping your lines out, go cheap.

if you want to spend a bit more then I have used 30lb Powerpro for 15 years & as an all round braid, I haven't found anything that comes close.
