Apologies if already been discussed, looking to invest in new set of rods and have narrowed down to these two

I realise they're probably very similar and the Korda blanks are most likely made by Daiwa, but personally I'd go with the Daiwa's, on the basis they're tried and tested brand that have made rods for decades.

Brands and all that aside, I'd probably pick the kaizen. The longbow blank is a bit too wet noodle like for me, the infinity in 3.25 is brilliant rod in comparison. The kaizens just seem to have more infinity like response than longbow and that's what I prefer in a rod.
Personally though given £100-£150 I'd probably be looking at tx2 / helical / e class offerings.

I had some Kaizens 12ft 3lb and used them a few times, one of the reel seats was wonky and the bottom eye was wonky on another - I only had 3 and the tackle shop sorted this out as you would expect.
The ones I had were quite soft and could only chuck a 2.5oz lead about 70 yards, nice to play a fish on - I'm sure the more stepped up ones are better for casting.
I got rid after 3 or 4 times use, just couldn't get one with them, and I bought them from a shop having given them a good wiggle too!
I've not had the daiwa rods you are talking about, but based on other Daiwa rods I've had, I'd go for Daiwa or buy some ESP Terry Hearns (which is what I did).

I have seen quite a few up for sale which does make me question why but when in AD the other day they certainly looked and felt best in that price range

I won a set of platinums. Butt section didn't push in same for them all and tips weren't straight either. Also bought greys spod and marker rod and bottom eye was off line to reel seat. Alot of tat being produced these days. Now got shimano 12ft shimano intensity spomb marker rods and they are spot on. So now. Looking at the TX4A for my main rods.
