It seems that Guides and Blanks, also known as Hopkins and Holloway, have ceased trading.
This leaves a massive void in the supply chain for rod builders and the diy tinkerers.

If you need that sort of stuff it might be worth contacting them to see if they have any further information on alternatives.

I tried ordering some things last weekend and just received a refund monday morning with no explanation i just assumed they had no stock i then phoned with no answer.

It is a shame as they were very good with the odd things i have needed over the years, they will leave a void in the market

Quite a few businesses going down the pan at the moment, a local Aquarium / Fish Keeping Shop to me has recently gone too, it was always busy and had a good loyal customer base.

If you do need any rod building products speak to the tackle box in Kent they stock a wide range of rod building stuff

Cotswold rods has a trade department with a huge stock of components.

Ive bought ALPS seats from them and rod varnish.
