I have a Tempest 100 Advanced Brolly system and since switching over to a Solar C-Tech chair the height is too restrictive (i'm 5' 10) when sitting on the bed with a chair (trakker recliner bedchair buddy, can't recall the exact name). I also have a Fox Frontier (standard) which is fine with this bedchair. Looking at the height of the Solar it's around 39 cms min, similar to the Fox flatliner. Does anyone use this Tempest Brolly with these bedchairs or can you recommend a different, shorter legged bedchair? Alternatively does anyone bring in the width of the shelter slightly to increase the height and does this make a workable difference?

I have the tempest v2 brolly so it will be similar size to the one you have. I've used the fox flatliter which was the best fit width wise but it's quite a long bed so when it was pushed to the back of the brolly the ends of the bed touched the sides of the brolly. Not sure if the flatliner has the same dimensions or not
Trakker oval nice fit size wise, never felt to tall when sitting up watching the lake but hated the bed shape
Nash indulgence, the one I had was an older version and it was perfect length and was shorter height wise , 25cm I think. Just a shame it sagged like a wet paper bag after a few months. New versions have better support (not up to fox, trakker standards) and I think you can still get the compact versions with 25cm leg height

I use the Tempest 100 Brolly and got an SP C Tech. They're 400mm Tall and my head was hitting the top of the brolly when sitting on the bed. I sold it and got the Levelite Lumbar. Its 300mm tall and lighter than the solar. A much better fit for the brolly.
If you get the Tempest Biv or the 100T you will be fine with the Solar bed.

HI I'm 6ft 4 & have the tempest 100 brolly advanced and use the trakker RLX flat6 super light bed chair. No problem sitting on the bed without head touching the ceiling. The door is low and cannot see whole lake sitting on the bed due to the top of the door. Found a bungie around the rolled up door connected to the arms of the wrap helps but it is low.

Thanks, how do you rate the levelite lumbar vs the solar for comfort and build? The only thing I can't get on with the Solar is the silly inbuilt cushion which prevents it being totally flat, I see the Trakker doesn't have that. I can also see that the levelite is longer/wider than the c-tech, no issues with fitting in, touching sides? The Tempest bivvy was too big a footprint for me and 100T too tall, I use the Fox Frontier when I need something taller but like the Tempest advanced brolly for it's stability

The solar build quality was lightyears ahead of Trakker bed but as you say the Trakker bed is completely flat which I like.
I like a firm bed which the solar does very well. So I just tightened all of the elastic up as tight as I could on the Trakker bed and its just as firm even though it has much less padding than the Solar.
Both are good though, would keep the solar bed if I had the full sized tempest as its incredibly comfortable. Best nights sleep on the bank that I have had but the Trakker isn't too far behind and with the weight and height compromise the Trakker has edged it.
