I've ended up lost with choosing a new mono for targeting Catfish that goes up to 55lb on a new lake I'm fishing.

- Casting is short distance, no more than 10 wraps.
- Braid is not allowed.
- Spooling 3x Okuma 8K Big Pit Reels.

Tbf almost any carp line would do but if you want something silly strong have a look at HydroTuff in 20 lb 0.40mm.

Caught 4 catfish this year on channel, lightest 11lbs heaviest 59lbs, line: korda touchdown 0.38 nothing wrong with the line and still use that line for carp

I fish for cats more than carp these days and use asso hardskin. It's bulletproof, far stronger than anything marketed to the carpark world
