Are these jackets really worth the price tag or am I better off buying an expensive coat from a non fishing company?

Buy a Snugpak Torrent. Essentially the same jacket in Olive green, £165 on Amazon.

I believe Snugpak make all the Fortis gear. It's excellent, military spec kit - I'm on my second Softie jacket after the first one lasted almost 20yrs.

Snugpak make the Fortis X Snugpak stuff - but not the Tundra, Marine or Elements stuff.

Edit: but I still agree with your recommendation.

I haven't got the jacket but have just brought the sallopettes. Not cheap but really warm and well made. Fully waterproof aswell apparently which was what I really wanted. Tempted to sell my SJ9 and get the tundra jacket
