So I'm fishing somewhere that has some really seen it all fish so I want to keep my line as out of sight as I possibly can

I will only need to be fishing max 16/17 wraps so it's not shock leader territory, the obvious one is to go flouro straight through. Couple of reasons I can't do that, this is a one off and my spools already have mono and braid on for my syndicates and I just can't afford to strip the mono spool fluoro then visa versa (fluoro is a no go on my syndicate due to distance)

So I'm going to use a fluoro leader, now my question is would everyone just use a normal 6ft leader length or to really pin the line down do I go shock leader length ?

6ft should be fine. I used fluoro leaders in the past and found that's all that was needed.
