As per title , anyone know the thread size . Have damaged thread in female boss and need to get a tap and retap out .

Thanx but its a lot bigger than 3/8 bsf ,if i was still working wouldnt be a problem but dont want to be buying numerous taps . Think a e-mail to fox customer service is next step .

Do they not have a male cap part that screws in once the pole has been taken out ?

Take the cap in to screw fix or a local fastener company. They will identify it and sell you a tap. I suspect it's probably 12mm.

Screwfix you have to buy a set even with wife's employee discount no thanx .engineering supply company couldn't help . Waiting for reply from fox .Thanx everyone for your replies .
