Taskers are currently selling the Penn Vantage XT 7000 for £150 a piece which is a fantastic bargain. I bought 3 and sold my Shimano Ci4 14000s. First impressions are really positive and they are ultra smooth. I've had most makes of reels over the last 30 years and these from Penn are by far the smoothest I've ever owned. Quick drag, a clutch with a loud click, lightweight frame and finished in all black with fine blue detailing on the spool. Time will tell if I've made the right move but Penn has a fantastic name and testimony is that they have been trading for 100 years!

Been looking at these reels, just noticed they are on the reduced section, wonder if there's a reason why they're reduced already

I bought a pair of Penn Affinity 2 Carbon Customs at a good price a couple of years ago, got one from Amazon in Europe for £150 so it was classed as a transfer between outlets so didn't pay extra tax and a second one as new but shop soiled with a minor scratch for £90. Still looking for a third bargain

They also are super smooth, fast retrieve and good to use. At one stage I nearly sold them having overspent on a Baitboat and needed to claw back some cash, but luckily never quitedid it. If yours are anything like mine they are one of the few real carp bargains out there 👍
