My vass waders are now starting to spring leaks and have numerous repairs already.
Looking at alternatives and ollyskins look decent. How do they compare size wise to vass? And how do they compare for quality?

I can't comment on the Vass mate but I did look into the Ollyskins last December though I have yet to buy. The reviews on their site are very good, and the comms I had with the sales director were excellent, literally couldn't be any more helpful. If you contact them they can be far more specific on the sizing, even between the ranges and if that doesn't suit they can do custom made which is the route I'll probably have to go down being a 10.5/11 wide fit foot.
They do a very heavy duty set not necessarily for fishing, my thinking is they might be fine for the odd Carping use, we'll see.

Had both and my Vass out lived the Ollyskins plus the shoulder straps seemed to slip more frequently to the point I had to adjust them that tight they split the difference to keep them in place, personally I prefer my Trakker N2 waders for comfort.

Cheers guys. Whilst looking into them i saw they were selling the older model with the smooth fabric for £44 on ebay, end of line sale. So i figured for that price id just give them a go

Some bargains to be had there for anyone in a size 8 or smaller, wish I'd of seen it in the larger sizes, would have been worth a punt at that money

I got a set last night size 12. Dont think they was the last ones though when i bought them. Must have sold out today

Picked these up today.
First impressions. Material feels nice and tough to the touch. Nice and roomy at the top. The boots however are a fair bit higher , and therefore tighter on my calf than the my old vass. There a lot of length in the leg, which is wasted if like me, youve got a longer torso and shorter legs. I am 6ft for reference. Not sure they sot as high as the vass either.
Also, a PITA to get off at the moment, which im hoping is because they are new.
I think if you are of a slimmer build they would be ok.
If im honest, i think theyll be going back as i think over time, where they are tight round my calves, i can only see the material folding everytime, so will likely fatigue and leak

I couldn't comment on the suggested waders, but I've had a pair of Ocean waders for 14 years. I have used them for carping, working, fly fishing. They have been great and not a single hole. I'm gonna see if I can get some new elastic and maybe get another 14 years out of them
