I generally fish with the front of my bivvy open unless super windy or cold. Is a skull cap or wrap going to make any difference to the condensation that builds up on the inside? I managed last winter as it is but not always the most fun thing to wake up to!

Yes they make a huge difference. I use a tempest air with skull cap all year round and get zero condensation

I agree with with ian for me they make a massive difference they take up minimum space quick to set up, unless you want a bivvy with porch area then they negate the need of using a full winter skin

Thanks, wasn't sure if having front open would negate any of the benefit?

I usually have the front open i think it helps to reduce condensation compared to having the door shut
