Fished it earlier in the year early April at that with two mates for a social, it was sodden all round the surrounding area following the wet winter and spring rain, the two swims at the back of the island back bay and gate swim were not comfortable for fishing for three nights as we didn't fancy a river running through the bivvy areas it was a quagmire to say the least the ground this side of the lake is all at the base of the sloping ground, as there were three of us we opted for the corner swim, dam end and the woods, we all caught plenty the biggest two fish were mid twenties the main of them were mid to high doubles simple fishing, if its wet and you have to barrow down from the top parking area its a bit of a lung buster back up the slope I was glad I had my power barrow, if it's dry and you can drive down to the main gate it's a bonus.

Thanks a lot for the info mate.

I'm going next week and by the looks of it .. i assume it will be boggy again.

Will dig out the barrow and get mentally prepared for a battle to get to the swims
