Merlin was my favourite braid as well, when I was struggling to get hold of the original one someone suggested trying the offering from Sharp Tackle and I have found it to be bob on.

I've got two nearly full spools of the original Kryston Merlin 20 or 25lb version from memory, the new versions are a different colour the green, brown and dark they do now is a totally different and woven with a black braid in them, the original I have is the green braid with a fleck of white running through it.
TBF I haven't used it for years its just sat in the spares box at home.

I have bought some 15lb from the ebay seller and bought it as a guest but ebay now still have my details grhhh.
I hope its not much different that the old one

I have a few spools kicking around. Along with Snake bite, snake skin. I'll try and put them up on here, they are are facebook I think

used to like merlin and silkworm but they both got hard to find, i use esp sinklink instead now

I've got loads of kryston spools knocking about, perhaps some merlin, definitely got a few snake skins and snakebites though. Never used the snake skin, looks really good though in the water, anybody still use it? Effectively a combi rig really isn't it without the joins in material.
