Hello all, im a previous member from years ago but forgot my log in details as new email etc so i am back after a 12 year break from carp fishing. I have moved to scotland and just bought some second hand gear to get me going again but am missing a few bits and bobs. I am after a new bivvy light and head torch and was after some advice as things seem to have moved on tech wise. Was looking at the ridgemonkey gear was wondering your thoughts on whats good on the market nowadays, much appreciated.

Couldn't recommend the Nitecore headtorches enough.

This was after plenty of opinions on here that I decided to get one, and brought another one now just in case I somehow manage to lose/ruin my current one.

I use the NU25.

In my opinion I hate the ridge monkey head torch heavy horrible thing
instead I would choose one thats small super lightweight comfortable enough to sleep wearing it easily lasts a weekend got 3 colour light options white,green or the best RED as it does not attract mouthfuls of insects LINKY POO
AND
again remote controlled bivvy light KIT !! unbeatable in my opinion LINKY POO LIGHT

This one from Decathlon is pretty good - flashing and 2 levels of white light + Red - rechargable and perfect to sleep in. I have been using mine for maybe 3yrs now.

Lasts quite a good while - maybe 8hrs on full and charges pretty quickly with a micro USB cable.

Theres various options & prices.
Theres mention of upgraded (what ?), theres mention of upgraded Remote.
Theres prices from say £24 to £32.

Theres ones stated 2600 mAh & others 5000 mAh.
Theres one at say £30, 2600 mAh but comes with free Head Torch (upgraded Head Torch ?).
Theres one £30, 5000 mAh but no Head Torch.
Its similar on Amazon.

Prob don't need another Head Torch (like ones that take normal or rechargeable batts), but ordered Sunblesa off Amazon, it looks good.

Don't really need another Bivvy Lamp, but if i ordered a Sunblesa, it would prob be a 5000 mAh one. Off eBay or Amazon ? Warranty etc.

good choice I would buy from Amazon as they have a brilliant returns policy if you have any trouble (unlikely)
