I have a small pond with a couple of koi and a few goldfish. On a pond forum I saw advice to suspend orange halves in the water and the fish would go crazy for it. And they did, they just love slurping at it until all that's left is the peel.

So as koi = carp has anyone tried incorporating oranges / orange juice or other fruit concoctions in their fishing?

Quite a few baits have orange flavour, vit c is regarded as an attractant too.
