Looking for a new landing net handle, preferably extendable, looking at the esp onyx or the dobbins bobbins handle. I already have a century ng net it's the extension, but it's a pain to break down (especially with wet hands).

Any recommendations?

Drennan Super Specialist, light & strong, various sizes

I watched a video from a sea fishing guy the other day, showed a carbon telescopic but every section was lockable, so say 5 sections of 60cm it could be locked at 60, 120, 180 ish etc.
He put it across his chest and tried to bend it, no chance. I'm very tempted, and at £12 for the 2.1m, I might have to look!

I use the 3m Gardner one.

Excellent and bullet proof. Mine is at least 10 years old.

Anecdotal evidence suggests that with long term use the Gardner length adjustment mechanism is more reliable than the Drennan equivalent.

I can't personally comment on the Gardner one but someone on here said between the 2 they'd go the Drennan. I've had mine near 10 years iirc and while the mechanism can every now and then prove temperamental, it's me that's usually at fault twisting it too far so it doesn't grip easily, I've always go it working again though.

IIRC, I believe either Drennan have updated the mechanism design and/or made spares available,
