These have been out quite a while now and I'm wondering how the mk3 classic 12.9 3.25tc compares to the older MK2 of the same spec. They say they have remained true to the MK2 action, would you agree?

Also, curious to know where the blanks are from if anyone knows?

I own mk2,s and mk3,s 12,9 - 3 1/4
My mk2,s are years old and battered so can't really compare the action on the sets I own.I didn't notice a difference when I swapped to the mk3, apart from the obvious aesthetics etc.
No idea on the blanks far east id of thought doesn't really bother me where there made tbh
I've been through the whole high end kit stuff and keep ending up sat under a brolly using the same kind of stuff I used decades ago.

I get that, I picked up some mk2's last Sunday and after a few hours down the pond it reminded me how good a rod they are, maybe a bit heavy which is why I wondered how the mk3's compared because it looks like they are a little lighter.

If they are lighter it's minimal obviously reels change the feel aswell.
I personally prefer my mk2,s but I put that down to the fact I used them for years and they feel like a pair of crusty old slippers.
When I bought my mk3,s they were on offer buy 2 get 1 free I think I paid about £400 for 3 rods,in hindsight I wish I bought a couple of sets at the time.
They suit me I love them.

ive never used any of the 12ft mk 3,s so cant comment on them,I'd like to have a feel of the 3lb tc at some point out of interest.
