Hi all, does anyone remember the really long (with massive weights) hangers from i think Gardener? this would of been 90/91?

Didn't they have brass weights you could add. They had a cord attachment. Look like they could snap your rod in two on the take. Best used with drop backs in mind..

Rangemasters they were called if you added both brass weights they weighed 3 ounces,I may still have mine knocking about somewhere.

Looking at the pictures, I still have mine, I used to use them for carp fishing initially and then replaced them with "Monkey Climbers" so I started to use them for pike fishing and they replaced my "Rubber Door stops" fitted with a line clip on a length of cord untill "Drop off" indicators came into fashion for pike fishing.
So for years they have sat in my shed gathering dust.
Until now, I had forgot I had them, as about 5 years ago I was going to make up a set of a similar design from acrylic rod off Ebay which I purposefully bought to do it and just thread it with a tap and die which is how I make all my indicators but usually with acrylic tubing and tap that out.
