Just wondering if anyone uses the Canon EOS RP mirrorless camera I'm looking at purchasing one just wondering what lens your using for with yours for your portrait pictures . I'm looking at 2 different lenses on the camera world website canon RF 50mm f1.8stm lens or the Canon RF 35mm f1.8 stm macro IS STM lens

Based off advice I was given, I got an EF mount lens for my R6 and an adapter. The Glass on the EF and RF mount lenses are the same, amd all the advantages of the RF mount is no way worth the extra money for what we're using them for.

General rule of thumb is that 90mm is the ‘optimum' for portrait.
So the 50mm would be closest. And work fine if you are looking to do group or individual (people) shots or individual holding a caught fish.
35mm is targeted towards landscape and scenery photography.

Rp is full frame so the 50mm is close to our vision.
The 35 will be better in tight swims . Not sure it's worth the extra money for fishing.

I have an RP. I use the Sigma 50 f1.4 ART adapted. The RF 50 will be awesome too though mate.

What intervalometer do u use with your RP camera

It has a built in one, there is also the Canon app for iPhone and Android which allows remote shooting.
