Hi all , I'm after recommendations for an exclusive use venue that will accommodate x4 maybe x5 anglers....
Not after a runs water ..
Looking for a lake with a decent head of 40lb+ fish
Distance : anything upto 4hrs from calais
not to fussed about facilities.. has long has there's a shower and electricity
We want exclusive booking of lake ..
Drive and survive is fine ... food package isn't a nessesity!
Does anyone have any recommendations? Of venues that may suit our needs

Thanks for reply 👍🏻 I've Got desire booked next March been going every year since 2013
It's a great social venue . Wouid be very pricey for just x4 anglers
Were looking for somewhere that we haven't fished that ticks our boxes

Drive and survive to me means just that, no facilities or electricity but you've said you want both
If you can cope without and a bit further Lake Meilliant maybe, it has a bucket flush toilet

Lake serene 2 perfect for 4 anglers it's got a huge cabin with cooking facilities and a shower not an easy water but some good fish in it.

Jason Riders Badger lake is a nice lake will be going for the 5th time this year and booked for the next 2 years. Very easy to get to Toilet and shower

Not sure what his availability is like this year for an exclusive but a Belgium mate of mine has a lake north of Reims about 2hrs 45mins from Calais.
Basic drive and survive facilities Toilet/shower & fridge freezers
33 acres 4 double swims although I think its better if the swims are fished as singles especially 1,2 & 3 then peg 4a can be fished as a double/single swim or you also have swim 4b that can be fished as single swim giving 5 anglers plenty of room, swim 3 is the largest by far probably around 8 acres of water to go at .
The carp are absolutely piling the weight on he had some major stockings in the winters of 2018, 2019 & 2020 when the lake was closed and he was just feeding them ready for a spring 2020 opening but Covid put paid to most of that year I went in 2022 and the carp stocked at singles to low doubles were averaging low to high 30's with the odd 40+ at that point, they are mainly Croatian/German crosses with a few local French farmed fish, this year a very high percentage of those 2018/2020 stocked fish are coming out around 18 to 22kilo so high 30's to high 40's it done its first 60 recently so one or two have shot on, I think there is somewhere around 650 carp in the lake certainly somewhere around those numbers.
1800 Euro for a full lake exclusive, whilst you can fish from the bank there are boats supplied in every swim you just take your own motor and battery, carp care kit, mats weigh slings etc..is supplied so dont need to take all that stuff, it is mainly being fished by Dutch/Belgian/French anglers he had his first group of Croatian anglers recently.
If you like the look of the dark chocolate German strain fish crossed with the big Croatian frames, a sprinkling of very big old original grass carp with lovely looking reed lined margins its definitely a water to keep in mind, there are crays but no Poisson chat, cats or sturgeon, I had no problems with the crays really given I was fishing in the height of summer a few claw marks in some baits when winding them after being out all night probably best to mesh up though when its that time of year, it does get quite weedy as well in the summer months but he has someone come in with a proper weed cutting boat each year when its at its worst, I'd say 6 to 8 feet is the average depth down to 13/14 in places with one shallow corner near swim 2.
