Wondering if anyone has recommendations, preferably online? Don't want to spend over the odds but would like a big enough option for it to make life easy finding spots in a very clear but weedy water.

I've also got the carp spirit one, does the job but if you can find the bright orange ones on ebay cheaper get one of them and just paint it
Only thing to be careful on the carp spirit one (not sure if all aquascopes are the same) but the bottom (bit that goes in the water) is glass and I smashed mine within the first week, entirely my own fault but didnt take much for it to shatter. I've replaced it with a clear plastic which was easy enough. Just be careful when you are out in the boat with it especially if you are on your own at the lake

Thanks all. Good to be aware of how easily they're damaged. I was looking at the two options on the Tacklebox as well as the unbranded orange equivalent elsewhere online. Might go with the latter as it looks virtually the same without the carp tax
On that note, I saw a “praddle” on the tacklebox as well. Anyone used one of them? Useful or gimmick? It interested me as I know from dropping rigs it can be a pain in the arse staying precisely over the same spot

In all honesty it was my fault it broke. It was an absolute ball ache to separate by twisting but you could split it with a ‘tap' to the side. One day it hit the deck and the glass shattered.
I wouldn't bother with the paddle. The less crap you have in the boat the better. Assuming you can use an outboard you'll get used to using that while using the scope.

orange ones may be cheaper but the lighter color means that you get a lot of glare & it's harder to see the bottom unless you paint / tape it up.

If you aren't in a rush to get one these are amazing if you are using them to drop rigs. Much lighter and easier to maneuver than the carp spirit ones. https://carpspot.de/spotfinder-v2

definite gap in the market for a decent aquascope IMO
these ones are ok but they're open for loads of improvements.
color - need to be dark as possible to stop reflections
weight - need to be light enough to be easily used one handed so your other hand can be used to control the boat
length - as long as possible so you don't have to pit your head too far over the side
viewing seal - needs to be comfortable & easily fits to face to eliminate light creating in.
I ended up making my own with some bits I picked up from a local hardware place. black plastic kitchen bin, a couple of heap handles, duct tape, clear plastic sheet & some silicon sealant.
these ones are ok but they're open for loads of improvements.
