I've not used Flourocarbon mainline for years. I've recently spooled up with 18lb Kontour and the line twist is unreal.

on the rare occasions I have had it I found the best way by far
is to go to a park or large field preferably with longish grass then walk out the line no weight or anything on the end then walk back and slowly reel it back on I normally have a wet rag that has been wetted with some water and fairy liquid pinched between my fingers to keep a constant even pressure
this has 2 very good advantages 1 it cleans the line and 2 the line will sink much faster
reeling it thru the grass takes the twist out
only other way I have heard of involves a river a bridge bit of polystyrene and some blu tack you blu tack the end of the line care fully lower it and bailarm open even help the line off if needed when its out far enough 150-200 yard close bail arm when it tightens strike off the polystyrene then leave the line in the flow for 10 mins
slowly reel in a nice straight line

I love fluorocarbon and have tried it on a few occasions from Tiger, x line and diawa but all have been absolutely shocking to cast and line twist, personally I find it unusable over 70 yards, so if ver I spool up again it will be 150 yards max per spool, where allowed flouro leaders are the way for me. So here goes the question - if something sinks, does something that sinks faster help? I asked because I've had dramas with tungsten tubing, splitting and sticking out as a single coloured line. I liked the new fox edges tube but noticed they didn't say if it sank, I bought some and yep, it sinks, maybe a little slower than tungsten but it hits the deck.
So question is what are the advantages in weight of tubing / mainline?

I do similar to this but after taking the twist out (and a spin doctor is good too), I tie it to something, walk out 100 yards and give it good stretch. Do this a few times over the course of a few sessions and it should start to behave.
