Just used some PB Bungee rear butt locks for the first time, great idea and work really well when fishing tips up.
Stupidly forgot to unclip when I had a fish and snapped it, would rather that then the butt grip snap or bank stick come out the ground but has made me wonder if there are better ones?
Just seen Sonik also do some but any other companies make them as well?
Found jag ones but they are jag prices 😅

Loads of others like PB, I like the Jag rod lockers a fair bit more expensive but you push the button and the bungee releases.

I wanted the pb ones but was having difficulties with eBay sellers so I bought the sonik ones.
The plate is plastic, but it should be good enough for whats required.
Rod security when night fishing on the trent...
I don't think they will work well with the butt cups but I have some large cygnet butt grips that will fit well on the cork handles and the bungee rod lock will add needed security.

Jag ones might be expensive but they will last a life time! I have them and the release mechanism is fantastic - one press and you can lift the rod into the fish. And they hold the rod rock solid - in fact so well that I always put a chain around the rod pod so that doesn't get dragged in when fishing locked up!

I have the JAG ones - they're a bit pricey, but they are good.
The nice thing about the JAG ones is you have a button to release the bungie, rather than having to remember to pull the toggle on the ones you have. I usually set mine up so my rear buzz/bar or bank stick is just behind my reel, so when I reach down to lift my rod, usually grabbing around the reel seat, I can use my little finger to depress the release button all in one action.
Im sure others will baulk at the cost, but great design and build quality.
Also, saved my bacon on a recent trip. A horrendous storm came in blowing directly into my tempest - I usually just use the mozzie infill but it was so bad I had to put the full infill on. A few hours later the storm really picked up blowing a gale and all three of my alarms were going mad - I assumed the wind as it was all three alarms going. I later found out I;d had a savage take, it had literally snapped one of my delkin snag ears, but the rod locker held tight and saved my rod. Lesson learnt - shouldn't have just assumed it was the wind/rain but certainly lost a biggie that night.

My rods are full-cork too - I have the larger JAG lockdowns as well. As per my other post, I set my rear buzz bar up just behind my reels, so the last bit of cork is literally flush with the lock-down, and the elastic goes over the thread on my reel seat rather than the cork - I wanted the elastic to be tight and didn't want to dent the cork on my rods.
