While googling the Solar line of the same name I came across this.
£8.99 for a 4oz spool, so over 1000yds in the .35 15lb.
I spooled up a couple of reels today and had a few hours fishing with it.
First impressions are really good, spooled up nicely, limp, knotted well and sunk
pretty quickly as well.
Has anyone else tried it?

Not the bulletproof, but I use their "hard skin" on my cat rods. Brilliant stuff

I have some of their line I use for leaders

Could it be the same line ? Uttings have it cheap and all strains

That's exactly what I wondered? I'd like to get a few yards
of the Solar line to compare it with the Asso and the 15lb Catana
I still have tucked away.

For years I have been using "Asso Sinking Mainline" in 16lb 0.35mm and never had an issue with it. Very strong, sinks like a brick and casts well as far as I need too and no further than 70yds and virtually invisible in water.

Only problem is its hard to get hold of. I put it down to covid and Brexit affecting supplies or its out of production. Contacted ASSO but never got any replies but they still have it in their catalogue. I am now down to my last 1000 yard spool.

Yes it is, but like a few places, only in 10lb or out of stock showing.

16lb is a bit harder to get hold off.

Yes it is, a good price too and I would have snapped it up but I've hit that age whereby I should be using things up rather than buying things I may never use.

Once I have used my spare spool then I might buy a replacement spool. Its very hardwaring and it lasts years especially if you turn it round. I have not replaced what I am using now in about 5 years, maybe more.
